Creating REDIRECTS on Brahma

To create a Redirect

Example, there is a page called Panthera tigris on this website. However, if someone searches for Royal Bengal Tiger, they may not immediately arrive on the page. Instead, they will be shown a redlink link this: Royal Bengal Tiger.

Now if you want to redirect people searching for Royal Bengal Tiger to Panthera tigris, you'd need to do the following:

• Type in name of a new page. Eg: Type in Royal Bengal Tiger in the search box on the left and hit Enter.
• On the search page, click on the redlink that shows up
• Next, an edit window will show up. In the edit window type in

#REDIRECT [[Panthera tigris]]

The general syntax is

#REDIRECT [[The page you want to redirect the current page to]]
