About myself

I, Piyush Joshi, with research interests lie in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology. More specifically,in the Microbial- biotech field, as well as their applications. Currently I am perusing Phd. in Biotechnology and my research topic is “Isolation and Molecular characterization of cold tolerant phosphate solubilizing bacteria from north western Indian Himalayas”. This research topic help me in exploring various novel and diversified psychrotolerant phosphate solubilizing microbes form the high altitude Himalayas, and resulted in unique findings like mountain aspect do affect the genetic clustering of cold tolerant pseudomonas in the Himalayas. I was awarded as Young Scientist award by State Science and Technology Council for reporting of novel psychrotolerant phosphate solubilizing bacterium. I do have several National and International publications to my credit, which reflect my interest and potential to work with some noval findings in the field. My long-term goal is to be actively involved in the research with some interesting novel results.
